We recently hit the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival to gawk at the floral extravaganza in the surrounding mountains. Crested Butte, the official "Wildflower Capital of Colorado," is enjoying an especially kaleidoscopic bounty this year after a wet fall, a snowy winter, and a drizzly spring. Add three damper-than-average seasons together and you get an amazing amount of wildflowers.
